Decent Everyday Utility Vehicle
by Avgas175 on 7/15/2026 7:21:30 AM
Had this 2023 Highlander had accumulated about 27K miles on it and here's my say on this vehicle. The engine is a very good design as it it would give me the necessary power I need when I press the accelerator despite having a fat turbo behind the engine. No lag, all synchronized. The seats are very comfortable to sit and relax, especially during long road trips. The controls that it comes it are very nice and easy to use. The info screen software system connects well with my phone bluetooth and cable. Speakers are very nice as I drive down the road. Phones calls on the SUV is phenomenal as it can easily hear everything about my voice and have the caller recipient hear me coherently well. The space within the vehicle is amazing. I have the XSE trim and it cames with all captain seats except the third row. Can do Costco hauls like a champ with the 2nd row up. Safety features are top notch and pulled me out from some close calls during driving. The down sides I had to deal with were the battery that comes straight from the assembly line in Texas is pretty faulty as it would not handle being sat idle without going on long drives. Recommend you get a fresh battery before the warranty expires from the dealership. The rear hatch struts can cause issues over time and at some point, it would not allow you to open the rear trunk without brute force. Luckly, I was able to get that replaced under warranty. There is a pretty decent amount of wind and tire noises that would come in during highway driving. Overall, once you get the 2 things that needs to be adressed regarding the battery and and rear hatch, it has solid everyday vehicle that is worth every penny. - 5.0
Great Toyota
by Beautiful on 1/11/2026 11:32:11 PM
THis Toyota has never let me down! I would say this is one of the best built car I have ever had ! ( I’am 82 yrs. Old and have owned a few !I have owned Caddies and Lincoln’s but believe me this Toyota has got them all beat ! Even with its rather small turbo engine, it can make the tires chirp! Plus it also gets 26.5 miles per gallon in city and 30 miles per gallon on a trip ! It is a beautiful green metallic color! Love it ! - 5.0
Toyota never breaks down
by Doug on 11/27/2025 5:08:12 AM
I own a 2020 Toyota Highland XLE AWD. I am blown away by the fact that we bought this car new. And I still have the original front brakes and rotors on it with 66,000 miles on it. I have reg maintence done like oil changes, tire rotations, alignments. And the brakes are still in great shape. It runs like a dream,27mpg, awesome V6 power. No issues here at all. Between my wife and I we have owned 2006 Toyota Rav4 limited awd, a 2011 Toyota Camry v6 XLE, a 2015 Toyota Camry XSE V6, a 2018 Toyota Rav4 XLE AWD, a 2019 Toyota Corolla XSE, a 2020 AWD Highlander AWD V6, and a 2021 Toyota Highlandet Limited V6 AWD. We both love the brand. They never break down. Just do your maintence regularly and enjoy your purchase like we have.. OH WHAT A FEELING TO DRIVE, "TOYOTA" !!!
